Ticket resale scams are on the rise!

Some websites—often run by ticket resellers or “scalpers”—offer tickets at inflated prices and may even be designed to look like The Company Theatre’s official site (our only official website is www.companytheatre.com). Tickets purchased through these unauthorized sellers can cost far more than face value, and in some cases may be invalid. To guarantee fair pricing and secure entry, always purchase tickets directly from The Company Theatre.
tips to avoid a ticket resale scam
HOW CAN I BUY AUTHORIZED TICKETS FOR Company THEATRE EVENTS?
The Company Theatre’s box office is located inside the main entrance at 30 Accord Park Drive in Norwell, MA. Regular hours are Mondays from 10:00AM–5:00PM and Thursdays 11:00AM–6:00PM, as well as beginning a two hours prior to each performance. (Please note: summer hours may vary.) Tickets may also be purchased by phone during box office hours at 781-871-2787.

For your convenience, tickets are available online at companytheatre.com. When you select the TICKETS option for a specific event, you’ll be redirected to ovationtix.com, our official ticketing partner.
WHY & HOW SHOULD I AVOID BUYING FROM TICKET RESELLERS?
When tickets are purchased from unofficial sources:
-
You may pay more than face value.
-
We cannot guarantee that your tickets are genuine, and you may be denied entrance to the event.
-
We cannot replace lost or stolen tickets.
-
We cannot contact you with information on show cancellations or other useful information.
-

We recommend that you follow these best practices when purchasing tickets online:
-
Purchase online tickets only through companytheatre.com.
-
Do not click on search results labelled as ads that do not link directly to The Company Theatre’s website.
-
If tickets are unavailable, contact the Box Office instead of searching third-party sites.
-
Do NOT post pictures of your tickets on social media. Resellers may use them to create counterfeit tickets.
how do i know if i purchased tickets from a reseller?
If any of these are not true, you likely purchased your tickets from a reseller:
-
Your confirmation email should come from an address at ovationtix.com.
-
Unless you are attending a general admission event, your exact seat numbers will be assigned at the time of purchase.
-
Your seat has no letter associated with it, or the letter is NOT any designation from C–Q, or the number associated with the seat is NOT 1-15 or 101-115. Any other number or letter seat denominations are NOT real Company Theatre seats.

To be absolutely sure you've purhcased a seat in our theatre, compare your ticket to our seating chart here.
WHAT DO I DO IF I THINK I MAY HAVE PURCHASED FROM A RESELLER?
If you need help locating your ticket order, you may call The Company Theatre box office at 781-871-2787 and we’ll be glad to look it up for you. Please keep in mind, though, that if your tickets were purchased through a third-party reseller, we are unable to refund, exchange, or reissue them. In those cases, you will need to contact the site where the purchase was made to review their policies.

While tickets bought from resellers may sometimes work for entry (often at an inflated price), there is also a real risk of counterfeit tickets. If you find yourself with fraudulent tickets, we recommend contacting your bank for assistance.
