Dance Conditioning and Flexibility
(Ages 8-18) An essential part of dance training is developing a student’s flexibility and strength. Doing so not only helps to make technique more impressive, but can help a young dancer to avoid injury now and down the road. This class will utilize exercises from barre classes, yoga, and Pilates to increase both flexibility and strength in a healthy, safe way.
Mondays 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Acting for Dancers
(Ages 8-12) In this class, dancers will engage in acting exercises which will help them to become more expressive in their performances and better storytellers through movement. The class will also involve movement, but instead of focusing on technique, it will focus on conveying emotion and character through physicality, body language and facial expression.
Tuesdays 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
(Ages 13-19) In this class, teens will rehearse and refine their performances of songs from classic and modern musical theatre for a cabaret night on The Company Theatre stage! Emphasis will be placed on capturing character and setting without the use of sets and costumes. Students should prepare for the four-week program by coming in with song choices prepared.
Wednesdays 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Children’s Acting and Improv
(Ages 8-13) This fun workshop-style class offers an introduction to both improvisational theatre and acting! Students will play theatre games as warmups, then learn how to create memorable characters, build compelling scenes, use physicality, work well as part of an ensemble, read from a script, and have a lot of fun!
Thursdays 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Teen Acting Intensive and Repertoire

Previous acting experience is required for all students enrolling in this course.
