Children’s Classes
Big Yogi, Little Yogi – Teacher: Emily Radziwon

(Ages 2-5) This is a class where parents and young children get to explore the basic movements of yoga together to build body awareness, spatial awareness, and have fun and bonding time in the process! Tuition is inclusive for both the child and guardian. A yoga mat is required.
Pre-Center Stage (5-7 year olds) – Teacher: Laura McQuade

(Ages 5-7) For our youngest students, this class uses pretend play, music and character work to help little children learn how to speak clearly, sing, move their bodies with confidence, and play with emotion, story and character. Class time will be divided up into time spent working on rhythm and music, acting, movement, and games.
A.C.T. Contemporaries (Ages 7-18) – Teacher: John Crampton
Monday 4-5 (Level 1); 5-6 (Level 2) – Studio One
The A.C.T. Contemporaries are a dance company that will create a performance piece together to be performed on The Company Theatre’s mainstage with lights and costumes. The company members will work together with the Director to choose styles, music, choreography, characters and more–this is a class about honing skills and building technique through creativity and self-expression!
The company has a focus on performance, fun and expression, not competition, and will explore basic techniques of many styles of dance, including jazz, modern, ballet, improvisation, ballroom and partnered dance, and Broadway-style dance. No Dance experience necessary. We encourage actors, movers, musicians, and artists of all kinds. Auditions will place members into appropriate levels based on their ability

(Ages 8-13) Center Stage classes are comprehensive introductions to the techniques and skills needed to have fun and succeed in musical theatre. Students will be guided through a curriculum of instruction in acting, singing, music theory, and movement. Each class will divided up into mini vocal, dance and acting lessons that will include fun activities taught by two or more instructors. Students will also receive coaching in the art of auditioning.

(Ages 10-14) This class is a continuation of the basic techniques covered in Center Stage 1B. Students may enroll upon graduation from that course, or by permission of the instructors.
Children’s Acting 1 – Teacher: Christie Reading

(Ages 8-13) This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of acting technique in a fun and exciting environment. Students will explore theatre games, improv, monologues, voice and speech work, physicality, and short scenes!
Yoga for Performers – Teacher: Emily Radziwon
Tuesday 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM – Gala Room
Tuition: $300
(Ages 10-18) This class, geared towards children and teens 10 years and up, will teach students the poses and language of yoga to build better body awareness, breath control, flexibility, strength, and mindfulness. Students will learn about alignment, meditation techniques, and breathing which will aid them in their singing, dancing and daily life. A yoga mat is required.
Children’s Improv – Teacher: Christie Reading
Wednesday 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM – The Loft

(Ages 8-12) Always be off-book with this fun class that offers an introduction to improvisational theatre. Students will learn how to create memorable characters, build compelling scenes spontaneously, work well as part of a comedic ensemble, and have a lot of laughs.
Theatre Games – Teacher: Christie Reading
Wednesday 5:00 to 6:00 PM – The Loft

(Ages 7-10) For the student seeking an introductory course to acting! Theatre Games is a fun way in which students will learn basic theatre etiquette and technique through improv games.
Children’s Tap – Teacher: John Crampton
Thursday 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM – Studio One
Tuition: $300
(Ages 8-13) With special attention paid to the musical theater style, this class will work through common tap technique, progressions, and combinations. The goal of this class is to introduce and practice the basic techniques of tap dance; rhythm, body mechanics, and musicality or sound. Students will learn the most common Broadway tap steps and enhance their musicality through rhythm tap exercises and improvisational tap. A tap shoe has only two taps, so every tap step can be broken down to its simplest form, a toe, a heel, or a combination of the two. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced tapper there is always room for improvement, this class is a great place to learn or refine while creating movement and music!
Children’s Voice and Songwriting – Teacher: Melissa Carubia
Thursday 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM – Gala Room

(Ages 8-13) The joy of singing is the focus on this class for young singers as they learn how their body functions as a musical instrument and are taught basic singing skills. Students will become more confident as they develop their unique sound, vocal range and begin the path to becoming a good musician. Keeping the voice healthy and growing is a key component of this class. While most of the repertoire will be group songs, there will be opportunities throughout the session to work on solo material.

(Ages 8-13) For the student looking for a more advanced course, children’s acting 2 is designed to teach the fundamentals of acting technique in a fun and exciting environment. Students will explore theatre games, improv, monologues, voice and speech work, physicality, short scenes, and begin exploring audition technique practices.
