A Swingin’ Affair is bringing jazz and pop standards from the likes of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett back to The Company Theatre Backlot. “Sinatra Under the Stars” will transport you back to the time when Frank Sinatra reigned the Las Vegas strip. Enjoy old blue eyes’ greatest hits under the stars and melt away “those little town blues.” Fronted by Donnie Norton with Steve Bass and his jazz trio, “Sinatra Under the Stars” is sure to have you swinging in your seats.
Norton recently completed a successful and critically-acclaimed run as Nick Bottom in “Something Rotten!” at the Company Theatre in Norwell and is well known locally as director of the award-winning Weymouth High Theater Company, lead singer of The New Band, and as a teacher in the Weymouth Public Schools.
Bass is the resident music director at Company Theatre and has worked as a music director, conductor, arranger, and pianist in the Greater Boston Area for over 10 years. He is the composer and creator of Swan Lake in Blue, a jazz ballet for 16 piece big band and tap dancers, which had its world premiere at Greater Boston Stage Company in 2019.
